I had promised myself that I wouldn’t make angels because I thought… everyone was making angels!

But life takes turns and I received a request to make an image of the Archangel Raphael, which made me go back to reading Biblical texts and it was like going back to what I love: stories.

Life is made up of stories.

This opened my little box and I decided to make the three archangels:

The Three Archangels

The Archangel Michael, with the eternal flame in his hands, defeats Satan.

The archangel Raphael, Tobias and the fish. In this biblical story, Raphael encourages Tobias to win his battle against the fish.

The archangel Gabriel with a trumpet in his hand and a fiery lily.

Gabriel spoke to five people. The four men, Daniel, Zechariah, Joseph and Mohammed, are represented in four flames.

The fifth, Mary, is the lily.
